Appointments

Routine appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance.

If a 'review appointment' is necessary the GP will give you a slip to take to reception and book into a review clinic.

If you think you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until the next routine appointment is available you will be given an urgent appointment. All urgent appointments will be recorded as such on your medical records. This is so we can follow trends in patient demand.

If the doctor decides that you are a medical emergency and better care can be provided at a hospital he or she may ask you to visit the nearest Accident & Emergency Department or call an ambulance for you.

NB: On certain occasions where a high demand for appointments is expected, for example following public holidays, or if there is a shortage of doctors, we may revert to providing a 'same day' booking system.

When You Arrive

To avoid queuing on arrival, you are strongly advised to use the "self-check-in" screen which is clearly indicated as you enter the building.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. There is a special telephone number to cancel appointments - 01482 320046.

Patients who regularly fail to keep appointments may be removed from the practice list at the partners' discretion.
